I’ve always had a slight addiction to handwriting and penmanship (and fountain pens). It’s intriguing to see how much someone’s handwriting actually says about them. For example, I’ve noticed that, for the most part, people who write huge have big personalities while someone who writes smaller tends to be more reserved. I was interested in finding out more about what handwriting says about a person, so I did some research on graphology (handwriting analysis).
First off, I realized that through handwriting, your subconscious mind is projecting some of its innermost thoughts. It’s crazy to think that when you write down your grocery list, you are actually writing your deepest secrets, but in actuality if properly analyzed, this list could reveal your self esteem, attitudes towards people, and basically every other personality trait. Here are some simple traits that you can see through your everyday handwriting.
Slants:
To the right – extrovert
To the left – introvert
No slant – guarded and practical
Size:
Large – big personality
Small – focused and somewhat shy
Average – adaptable
Your S’s:
Round – people-pleaser
Pointy – intellectual
Open at bottom – artistic
Printed – versatile
Of course there’re many many more characteristics that can be tested, but they are easily found online, so go do some research! It’s truly fun!! I’ve started analyzing some of my friends handwriting just by looking at some papers of theirs (as creepy as that is…) and have been shocked to see how accurate some of the characteristics and traits can be!!
And I just wanted to suggest this website (where I got my pictures and a ton of information for today from)…it’s wonderful for a simpilised idea of graphology! http://www.realsimple.com/work-life/life-strategies/handwriting-101-00000000015886/index.html
