Look, Darling! I Knitted You a Tree!

This past week, A introduced me to something that even I found odd…Knitting Bombing / Yarn Bombing / a ton of other names. It is a type of street graffiti where instead of using the normal means of graffiti (spray-paint, chalk, etc.) people knit outrageous public displays.

Honestly, I have no idea how this is even done. First off, when does boredom set in? I struggle to keep my concentration throughout the process of making a hat, let alone the time it would take to knit a car…Second, how do you know how much to make? There are no “patterns” for, let’s say, an oak tree! Is it hit and miss? Third, what if it rains?

As muchas I seem to be putting it down, I am not. Rather, I am fusturated that I cannot do something so amazing. Please, if someone does this LET ME KNOW HOW YOU DO IT!

Now that my true motive has been discovered, I’m going to share another thing that I discovered during my course of looking at Yarn Bombing. Knitted “taxidermy”. This stuff is too cute for words, so I’ll just share a few photographs.

(that one isn’t quite knitted, but still! It is too cool!!)

Alright, well to conclude I’m just going to say thank you to everyone who has been viewing this blog. A and I have been flabbergasted to see that people are actually reading this. Yippie!!!

P.S.: I’m working on a project for Tuesday…wish me luck! haha
